Marcel tells about this in brief: Hello, my name is Marcel van Osnabrugge and I am 37 years old. I worked with a lot of pleasure at my old employer for 16 years. Unfortunately, I became unfit for work and it became clear that I could no longer fully perform my own duties. Through my old employer I came in contact with Puls who guided me in a so-called 2nd track trajectory.

Together with a consultant from Puls , I started looking for new job opportunities. For me, this meant an office job without heavy physical work. After a not too long search and with the help of my consultant from Puls , I ended up at Survitec Group through my own network. On the advice and suggestion of my consultant, I started discussions with Survitec Group. I told them about my situation and we decided to start with a work experience placement.

I got started and was able to take on tasks in planning and administration. Thanks to my current and especially cool colleague Richie, I was inducted and well on my way. After a month on the job, I sat down with my consultant and my new employer to evaluate. In this conversation, we discussed how things were going so far and what our expectations were for each other going forward.

I had already hoped for paid employment and during this interview I was verbally promised this. I could expect a contract and that already at very short notice. My consultant from Puls and I maintained contact. She gave me the last tips and advice at the time a contract was proposed to me in writing.

I informed my previous employer and submitted my resignation to it. As of December 1, 2018, I may be employed for one year on a paid basis, which I am extremely happy about. Above all, the new position and employer bring me a lot of peace of mind. The industry is in my work history and fits within my ambition and preference. The new position is a great fit with my current health situation for a full-time work week.
