What four components does a 2nd track pathway consist of?

An employee drops out and during the reintegration, the employer and employee find out that returning to their own or other position within their own organization will no longer be possible. At that point, a 2nd track trajectory. One 2nd track trajectory at Puls means an individual trajectory and a lot of customization. Throughout the entire process, the employee is guided by a consultant from Puls. It is also decided which specific interventions will be used, always in consultation and appropriate within the framework of the assignment.

By default, a 2nd track trajectory six months. Roughly speaking, you can divide the process into four parts: Acceptance and orientation, job application training, mediation and work performance. These parts can run one after the other, but also next to each other. The consultant tailors a process to the employee's situation as much as possible. In this article, you can read more about what these components entail.

Acceptance and orientation

In this section, we look together at where the best opportunities lie for a new job. Here the situation is discussed and its influence on a workplace. It is not about what an employee can no longer do, but rather what is still possible. The employee gets a clear view of: who am I, what can I do, what do I want? What are my qualities, skills, development points, values, drives and interests?

Job training

We provide guidance and instruction in such areas as creating a resume, writing cover letters and conducting interviews. In addition, we assist the employee with job searches.

Mediation

In this phase, the employee actively searches for vacancies and carries out application activities. The consultant discusses the frequency of the number of application activities with the employee. If desired, Puls vacancies and makes use of its own network contacts. Our job finder can also be used for this.

Work Exercise

Sometimes it can be very helpful to gain experience in a new direction. This can be done through an internship, work experience placement or secondment. The purpose of this is to find out whether the position is suitable, to build up (work) rhythm, gain new work experience and/or intensify social contacts. With this new experience, the employee has an even better chance of finding a great new job.
