Martijn's success story; job satisfaction found!

My name is Martijn, I'm 40 years old, and I'm trained as a chemical analyst. After working for my employer for 15 years, I dropped out due to a burnout. I was given the opportunity to work with the guidance of Puls to look around me, for another job. And this has worked, which I am very happy about.

I now work as a product manager; it is a broad position with a lot of variety and many contacts. I make sure that the product is workable in practice and guarantee quality. In this position I have found what I am looking for and that does me very well.

How did I get this job? Well, one of the assignments of Puls a number of people were approached and confided in. One of them made the link with my current boss, after which I was invited for an introductory meeting. And that's how it started rolling.

I think this is important for many people with burnout; Knowing and experiencing that you are important to society and that you have a lot to offer. A suitable job is very important to you, even if you have it at the beginning of a 2nd track The process is not yet clear and you don't really want to leave your employer.

Puls has helped me a lot with conversations and assignments to gain more insight into myself. It gradually became clear to me that my current workplace did not offer me what I needed. Through the conversations, it became clear what a new position had to meet in order for me to be truly happy in my work.

The approach to Puls I liked (Erna) personally, and confidentially. Erna was always available via email, phone and app. It didn't make me feel like a number, but I felt personal involvement and a warm bond.

My new job gives me so much joy! My energy level has increased dramatically because the job aligns with work values that are important to me. In addition, but also very important, I get appreciation and feel truly useful again. This has boosted my self-esteem.
