A fresh start with the 2nd track route

Making a new start is always exciting: will it work? Can I find something that suits me? Not everyone is looking forward to that start. One person who was skeptical was Krzysztof during his first 2nd track Consultation with Puls.

Background

Krzysztof has been working for his employer for about 7 years when we meet in the 2nd track route. The purpose of this process is to find other work for Krzysztof. Due to physical limitations, he has dropped out of his work and it is questionable whether he will be able to do the work again in the future. But his own organization feels so familiar to Krzysztof that he doesn't want to look for other work. He doesn't like change. He also speaks hardly any Dutch and has little experience with applying for jobs.

The cover

In the second interview with the consultant of Puls there will be a turnaround for Krzysztof. He realizes that he has not been energized by his work for a long time and that the work will probably be too physically demanding for him in the future. Krzysztof loves to drive a car and a position as a driver seems like something to him. With the support of Puls Krzysztof is going to work on improving his application skills.

We pay attention to Krzysztof's resume and he receives support in drafting a nice personal cover letter. Krzysztof also receives information on how to apply through job websites.

Go for it

Krzysztof goes for it. During the day he works for his employer and in the evening he applies for a job. In just a few weeks, he sent out more than 40 applications. Not because he has to, but because he really wants to find a new job. The conversations in the 2nd track trajectory give Krzysztof a lot of positivity. He is invited several times by employers for interviews and a trial day and then it is a hit: within two months Krzysztof finds a new job!

"If you want it, you can do it!"

Krzysztof has now been working in his new job for a week and says that, for the first time in ages, he enjoys looking forward to his workday again. His new job gives him a lot of positive energy and makes him feel happy again. Krzysztof: "It's important to trust people and not stay in the same place. If you find that you don't get much energy from your work, change and don't be afraid. "If you want, you can do it!"
