Successful collaboration: hello Jumbo!

Puls stands for driven, decisive and result-oriented. We believe in a personal, involved and people-oriented approach. And this approach is appreciated by Jumbo as an employer and by the employees. It is therefore not for nothing that Jumbo and Puls have had a pleasant and fruitful collaboration for years.

For example, Paul van der Linden, HR Business Partner of Jumbo Supermarkets, explains: "The services provided by Puls is characterized by a solution-oriented approach, with an eye for people and in line with the core values within Jumbo. Experience shows that each case requires a specific approach. Puls is able to move along with this and, if necessary, deviate from the usual route, if this leads to a faster and better result. Characteristically, Puls actively contributes to this and comes up with initiatives to find a solution faster. The way in which the processes are completed can count on a lot of sympathy from both the employees of Jumbo and the employer Jumbo. In it, Puls presents itself as a reliable partner, capable of connecting without losing sight of the goal."

Meet Hanneke and Tom

These two employees enjoyed working at supermarket chain Jumbo for many years. However, both dropped out due to physical complaints. For both Hanneke and Tom, Jumbo had the help of Puls Enabled; A start was made with a 2nd track-route. The goal: to find a suitable new workplace!

A perfect match!

Hanneke had been working as a sales assistant at Jumbo for 20 years. Unfortunately, due to physical complaints, this work became too heavy for her. Hanneke started it 2nd track journey with fresh courage. "I also saw the process as a great opportunity. The consultant sensed where my interests lay and, in my opinion, got everything that was necessary out of it. Ideally, I wanted to work in healthcare, even though I knew that this was not obvious without a diploma and with physical complaints. But there was no lack of motivation."

At the same time, Hanneke also had her reservations. She followed a tough rehabilitation process, so she could not foresee where she would end up with the 2nd track-route. "I found this very much and intense. Nevertheless, I can now proudly say that I succeeded. I was invited for an interview for the position of housing and welfare assistant. Exactly what I wanted! Fortunately, the enthusiasm was mutual. The position largely consists of activities such as drinking coffee and connecting with clients in combination with light housework. Hardly physically taxing and beautiful work to do. It couldn't have worked out better for me!"

Tom got off at the right stop!

Tom also looks back positively on the 2nd track-trajectory at Puls. Tom held a managerial position at Jumbo for many years and enjoyed the work. But due to stress and physical complaints, it was no longer possible for Tom to continue to perform his job.

Where the intention was initially to return to the Jumbo and build up the work slowly, in the end a start was made with a 2nd track-route. The process started with orientation towards suitable work outside the Jumbo. Tom was quite negative about this at the beginning. On the basis of exercises and tests that gave Tom insights about himself and a search direction outside the Jumbo, Tom began to see the benefits of other work that is less physically demanding and less stressful. That's how Tom became enthusiastic about working as a bus driver. After a successful training program, Tom is now more than satisfied on the bus. Tom: "Now I am very happy with the process. The services provided by Puls gets a 9 from me!"
