STAP budget: available from March 1!

Would you like to retrain to increase your knowledge within your current job? Does your current job offer fewer future prospects because it is a heavy profession, for example, and would you like to retrain to change jobs so that you can grow old healthily? Or are you considering a new step in your career that better suits your qualities and interests and would you like to retrain for that?

Stimulating your labor market position you can give hands and feet from March 1 with the STAP-budget. The subsidy scheme STAP-budget is a scheme of the Dutch government through which employees and job seekers can apply for a budget of up to 1,000 euros for training and development. You can use this subsidy to follow a training, course or education.

Training for all

With the STAP-budget the government wants to offer workers and job seekers the opportunity to take more control over their own career development. You can use it to deepen your own profession or improve your labor market position to find a new job.

The STAP budget thus replaces the regulation tax deduction training costs that was in place until January 1, 2022. This adjustment makes it more accessible for people to follow training. More information about this regulation can be found on the website of the central government.

We have written more often about increasing demand in the changing job market. In practice, we often hear "There is so much demand in the labor market, isn't there? Plenty of vacancies!" On the other hand, work is also changing very quickly. More and more work is digital, for example. As a result, new jobs are being created, while other jobs are disappearing. Then it is good to be one step ahead of others already!
