Social medical advice WMO

Under the Social Support Act (officially the WMO 2015), municipalities are responsible for supporting people who are not self-sufficient on their own. With the Social Medical Advice WMO, Puls examines whether there are possibilities for these people to get a job. Nowadays, this part falls under the service 'Advice for the Social Domain'.

Support that fits personal situation

The social domain includes all efforts that municipalities perform or have to perform around work, participation and self-reliance, care and youth based on the WMO 2015. Among other things, municipalities support people who are in one of these groups, for example, from the WMO 2015:

  • counseling and day care;
  • Support to temporarily relieve the family caregiver;
  • A place in a protected living environment for people with mental illness;
  • shelter in cases of domestic violence and people who are homeless.

During the Advisory interview, a Occupational Assessor from Puls will look at a person's limitations and then translate them into the possibilities that are still available. This results in a report stating the conclusions drawn and the advice given by Occupational Assessor . The path to work is also mentioned. Good advice can save a lot of costs, which is not unimportant for municipalities. In addition, Puls works with an all-in rate, which means that municipalities and agencies are not faced with unexpected costs.
