"I am a nurse by profession and now 53 years old, single with two daughters. Being single, I valued my permanent contract with my employer and did not think about leaving. Because of the illness and all that it entailed, I ended up in a 2nd track track; with the goal of finding a job outside the organization, because it was not certain I could return to my job.

At first, I was skeptical and wondered what the point of this course was. After all, at the same time, I was building up in my position as a hospital caregiver, which took a lot of my energy. As the trajectory progressed, my view changed. The consultant was able to explain clearly any questions I had and support me well when applying for a job. Writing a cover letter, for example, was quite a challenge for me. Thanks to the guidance, I succeeded. When I was then invited for a job interview, my motivation grew. I saw advantages in the potential new workplace that my current workplace lacked. In short, I began to see for myself that it was an opportunity.

Finally, I took the plunge. I got to work at a young organization where I was hired as a supervisor in a small-scale living group. This is a quieter workplace that is less physically demanding. I also get longer time to do the work with the clients.
