The power of the clear reports of Puls

As labour experts from Puls we carry out Occupational Assessor investigations. Employers give us an assignment for this if the employee has been incapacitated for work for about 10 to 12 months. The Occupational Assessor determines whether his/her own work is appropriate or can be made appropriate. The advice is presented in a Occupational Assessor Reporting. The report contains information about the reintegration process during the first year of absenteeism and it also contains advice on how the reintegration of the employee can be promoted.

A substantiation of the advice is also important for any assessment by the UWV. It is therefore important that it is clear and unambiguous to all parties what is in the report. How do you write a clear report?

Pyramid writing

Bee Puls we use the so-called Pyramid Principle or Pyramid Writing. You can recognize the report by the following characteristics, among others:

  • The key message is at the beginning of the report;
  • Writing is done from the reader's question;
  • The text is easily scannable.

The idea behind this approach is that today's readers have little time, scan texts and read selectively. In this sense, therefore, we assume the reader's behavior and we tailor our reporting accordingly.

The report certainly contains the necessary information needed for an investigation or review by the UWV. The conclusions are thoroughly substantiated and explained.
