3rd Track trajectory
A 3rd Track program focuses on finding suitable, sustainable work for (former) employees with WGA benefits. The program is used when reintegration via the first or second track has not been successful, often because the distance to the labor market has increased. At 3rd Track we support (former) employees who are no longer employed, but for whom you as an employer are still responsible. Puls supports in finding work that fits the workload profile, with the aim of sustainable employability and utilizing residual earning capacity.

When is a 3rd Track track the right step?
3rd Track trajectory is applicable when you as an employer are self-insured for the WGA. In that case, you are responsible - even after termination of employment - for the reintegration of the disabled employee and the associated costs for another ten years.
Deploying a 3rd Track pathway:
- increases the likelihood that your (former) employee will return to work partially or fully;
- leads to significant cost savings by exploiting residual earning capacity;
- contributes to good employment and CSR policies.

A 3rd Track trajectory at Puls: here's how we go about it
The structure of the 3rd Track trajectory is similar to that of 2nd track trajectory, with as a basis the workload profile as determined by the company or insurance physician. Within these capabilities we work towards work resumption.
The process is as follows:
- Inventory & planning
Together with the employee, we map out his capabilities, wishes and goals. These form the basis for a personal reintegration plan. - Career guidance & coaching
Our consultants help strengthen motivation, self-confidence and labor market skills, tailored to the employee's situation and abilities. - Job application assistance & job search
We assist in preparing a resume, writing cover letters and finding suitable job opportunities. Work experience placements or internships can also be part of the process.
What is the impact of a 3rd Track track?
For the employer:
- Complying with the reintegration obligation as a self-insurer for the WGA
- Significant cost savings when the employee re-enters the workforce
- Reducing long-term benefit costs.
- Positive contribution to good employment practices and corporate social responsibility
For the employee:
- Guidance to suitable work within one's own workload capacity
- Improved self-insight, job opportunities and future prospects
- (Partially) regained income security on top of WGA benefits
