Development of the Practical Assessment measure.
UWV has introduced the 'Practical Assessment' measure since July 1, 2024. In a 'practical assessment,' the UWV's Occupational Assessor tests whether the income your employee receives is representative of the work actually performed.

When is my employee eligible for a "practical assessment"?
If there is actual income and the employee is working just before the WIA assessment in modified own work, other work or in a combined package of tasks and you as an employer intend to offer this work to the employee on a structural basis. Puls can carry out an Wage value assessment for you.
Wage value assessment
By having a Wage value assessment conducted, the UWV receives a comprehensive report that objectifies and validates both the work performance and economic value of your employee according to a uniform wage value methodology also used by the UWV.
When a Wage value assessment?
In addition to the Practical Assessment measure, there are several times when it may make sense to use a Wage value assessment :
- On change of duties during employment;
- When, at the time of hiring, a person is already performing work where the real wage comes out to less than the minimum wage;
- Save costs 2nd track pathway because the Wage value assessment can demonstrate that 1st track offers sufficient prospects in terms of earning capacity;
- In calculating the appropriate recovery rate in conjunction with real work performance.
