Interview with career and reintegration consultant Chris
How did you end up at Puls ?
'After working for 4 years as a recruiter at a logistics staffing agency, after which I advanced to branch manager, I was looking for a new challenge. I was looking for a new position where I could work with people again, but I didn't know exactly what. Through various tests I found out that my strength lies in working with people in a coaching and guiding role.
I am also a soccer coach of young people, which I get a lot of pleasure and energy from. Then I started looking around online and came across the vacancy of Career and Reintegration Consultant at Puls . The job description was in line with what I was looking for in a new position, so I immediately got excited and decided to apply.
After applying for the position of Career and Reintegration Consultant, I was invited for a1st interview with my current team leader Sven. During this interview I immediately felt a click and had a good feeling about it. Within one week I had a2nd interview with Regional Director Liesanne, and that same evening I received an offer. In January 2024 I started at Puls.'
What was your first impression?
'In the first week of work, I received a warm welcome during the reception. Everything was well organized. The kick-off consisted of a presentation with several new colleagues. paraDIGMA groep which you immediately get to know and meet again during the upcoming trainings. You also received a phone and laptop so you could start working immediately. Everything met my expectations.
What do you love about this work?
'In this position, you are a spider in the web; you have contact with both employee and employer. You also work closely with colleagues from the other labels of paraDIGMA groep. I notice that, beyond the regulations, candidates are grateful for the interview and the support you have provided. In the beginning, candidates may not be open to the process, but with the right guidance and coaching, they are eventually open to working together. I see it as a challenge to help people find what they are striving for. The 1-on-1 contact you have with employee creates a bond and in this I can apply my coaching skills well.'
How do you like working at Puls?
'At Puls you get a lot of freedom in your work. They give you the space and confidence to tackle the work in your own way. Of course, this comes with a lot of responsibility. The appreciation and trust I get from my team leader is very nice. I am part of a nice diverse team, which gave me a warm welcome right from the start. The work itself is solo, but there are plenty of meetings and activities organized that also consider the employee's vitality. For example, once a month we have a team meeting, once a year there is a Puls day and paraDIGMA groep parties and activities are organized. In addition, there are many opportunities within both Puls and paraDIGMA groep to grow. I still enjoy going to work and I don't expect this to change in the near future.
