Sustainable Employability Research (DIO).
Do you have doubts about the (future) employability of an employee, without absenteeism? Or do you notice that your employee is functioning less and less well at work? Then a Sustainable Employability Research (DIO) solution.
A Sustainable Employability Examination is a preventive Occupational health assessment. It is used before there is (long-term) absence from work. The Occupational Assessor identifies which factors limit an employee's employability, and what opportunities there are to improve them - within the current position or elsewhere in the organization.
When and why is a DIO deployed?
A DIO is often used as:
- an employee shows signs of overwork;
- there are doubts about the match between employee and position;
- As an employer, you want to keep a grip on your employee's vitality and sustainable employability.
A DIO can be very valuable even without a concrete threat of disability. The examination shows how your employee can remain healthy, motivated and enjoyable at work now and in the future. This not only increases the sustainable employability of your employees, but also of your organization.

How does a DIO proceed?
During the Sustainable Employability Survey, the Occupational Assessor answers the following questions:
- What bottlenecks affect the employee's sustainable employability?
- What solution directions and advice can be given to (better) secure the employee's sustainable employability within the organization?
- What are solution approaches and advice to promote the sustainable employability of the employee in general?
The DIO consists of the following steps:
- Intake interview
Telephone consultation with the employer to establish the purpose and mutual expectations of the DIO. - Individual interviews with employer and employee at the workplace
The employer receives a digital proposal from the Occupational Assessor with a date and time for the DIO to take place. The employer then invites the employee to this. - Analysis during interviews
The Occupational Assessor makes an analysis during the interview using a set questionnaire on tasks, working conditions and perceptions. - Draft report
Findings, bottlenecks and initial advice are compiled into a report. Both parties can give feedback on this (in accordance with privacy rules).... - Final report
Includes concrete recommendations for next steps and securing sustainable employability. - Follow-up after 6 months
Evaluation discussion between Occupational Assessor and employer on progress and results.
What does a DIO provide?
- Understanding bottlenecks and opportunities around employability
- Practical advice for staying (sustainably) employable
- Reducing risk of absenteeism or dropout
- Better match between employee, job and working conditions
